Your Journey

A tour dedicated to nature and culture in a land of unexpected charm. The first stop is at the foot of Cassano Irpino, where the Pollentina, one of the most beautiful springs in Italy, amazes the tourists with the gurgling of its waters and the light effects created by the drops that spring from the ground. Then follows the visit to Cassano, an ancient village where you will understand the soul of a peasant territory, proudly preserved by its population. The narrow streets of the village, flanked by a medieval wall, wind up to the remains of the castle.

The second stop is the Convent of Saint Francis at Folloni in Montella, which is recognized as a national monument. The complex was founded after the passage of Saint Francis, who left two of his brothers to construct a convent. The itinerary includes: the 18th century church, decorated with fine white stucco from the Neapolitan school, Majolica Floor and remarkable paintings; the cloister; the Opera museum and the sacristy with the sarcophagus of Diego I Cavaniglia by of Jacopo della Pila. Diego, Count of Montella died in 1480 at the siege of Otranto.

The tour will end with a visit to a characteristic hunting lodge dating back to the 18th century which today hosts a winery surrounded by gentle and breezy hilly slopes and which stands out for its modern grape processing. The visit to the cellars will be followed by a typical Irpinia lunch with local products.
