The tour starts with a guided visit to the old town of Sant’Agata dei Goti: a small village perched on a sheer bluff of tuff in our beautiful Caudina valley, at the slope of Mount Taburno.
Sant’Agata is part of the circuit of the “Most Beautiful Villages in Italy” and has won the Italian orange flag thanks to its unique landscaping.
The old city centre is full of culturally and historically valuable sites where you can find signs of its Langobard and Norman past.
After visiting the old city centre you will visit one of the oldest historic houses in the town, learn the history of the family, its ancestors and the old tradition of wine making. Second stop are the old wineries where one of the most famous DOCG wines of our land was produced, stored and bottled: the Falanghina. Once the visit is over, a few steps from the wineries, you will reach another historic building in the village where you can enjoy an enchanting lunch break. It is a place of refreshment that has its roots in the harmonious relationship between kitchen, winery and facility where you can taste a menu made up of seasonal and local produce: a unique sensory experience absolutely not to be missed.
The tour starts at 9:00 with a visit to the old town of Sant’Agata dei Goti which will last about 1 hour. At 11:30, in the very heart of the village, you will be welcomed by the guide of the wineries to visit one of the most well-known wineries of the area. After the visit the tour ends with lunch.
Bring your walking shoes and an umbrella to shelter you from any rain.
Lunch includes a three-course tasting with wine pairing (1 glass). An appetizer and a little dessert are included.
