The tour starts with a visit to the Taurasi village: located on a hill, the town was built in the early Middle Ages during the Langobard domination and is home to a beautiful castle where famous characters such as Torquato Tasso, Eleonora d’Este and Carlo Gesualdo housed.
After visiting the castle and the archaeological museum, you will reach one of the most important wineries that produces the Taurasi DOCG wine.
There will be an opening meeting held by the estate staff: you will be greeted with a special breakfast bag.
The tour continues with a walk through the vineyards and olive groves where there will be an explanation of the phenological phases of the vine and the territory. After a short aperitif, you will taste 6 DOC and DOCG wines with cold cuts, cheese, typical pies from Irpinia, a first and a second course.
If you have children, during the tasting, they will be invited to take part in an educational workshop and a blind tasting of jams.
The tour starts at 10:00 at the wine estate: the staff will introduce you to the visit of the vineyards and wineries, which lasts about 3 hours.
At 13:00 you will be greeted by the staff of the restaurant where you will enjoy your lunch.
Before leaving, around 15:00, a local guide will lead you to the Castle and the small village of Taurasi which is just a few steps from the estate.
The tour finishes at 16:00.
